Who I Am

I'm a passionate software developer with the creative mindset and patience of an entrepreneur. Skirmishing in the server logs and identifying errors (especially with less than helpful error messages) provide me with the excitement of a challenge to make things better than they were before. Addressing failures and turning them into successes by building bridges between conceptualization and active learning only promotes my growth.

I strive for high octane environments that teach me new techniques and methodologies to bolster my creations with upgrades in efficiency and scalability. I have experience working with various technologies, including React, Redux, Flask, Python, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 for front-end development while weaving the intricate web to my databases through back-end technologies such as Express, SQL, and SQLAlchemy. Jul 2021

Project description: A fully interactive dating application where users match with others based on Boba tea interests

• Pioneered a back-end Flask / SQLAlchemy querying algorithm to match users prioritized initially by their preferred gender and tea flavor, if few matches are found alternative queries are sought.
• Conceived a lightweight yet charming Boba tea color themed site-wide design that provides users with the feeling and comfort of a cafe applied through personalized CSS and React Components.
• Charted a method for every web-page to concurrently render dense dynamic data through the manipulation of Deep Redux Stores reducing back-end request loads.

Avocati (Javascript, Express, SQL, Pug, HTML5, CSS3)

Project description: A co-authored Avocado color schemed Medium.com clone personalized for users to tell their stories

• Implemented core functionality for User Stories utilizing Pug templates and Express Routing to achieve efficient requests to the backend reducing querying response times thus improving site-wide scalability.
• Stylized and designed pages to view individual Stories and a collection of all User Stories with CSS on the front-end to add animations illustrating an interactive and simplistic User-Interface.
• Developed User Followers feature incorporating extensive use of SQL back-end requests and front-end asynchronous javascript (AJAX) concepts to dynamically display followers and follow other users.

Project description: A unanimous team project, inspired by Venmo, created for peer to peer transactions and fund management.

• Guided my peers and mentored them on material involving Redux, Action Creators, Dispatch calls to the back-end and Dynamic Page Rendering.
• Developed the core transaction functionality using the data flow through a series of Redux dispatch actions and data fetching requests to the Flask Back-end allowing users to send and dynamically view payments to one another.
• Devised and stylized the Splash / Landing Page and the User Transaction Pages. Integrated React Components for reusability and trouble free modifications.
